Permanently Destroy Data-Bearing Drives

Deleting files, formatting a drive or removing it from a computer does not physically eliminate the storage media. Physical shredding permanently disables media and is an appropriate destruction method for many applications. The proper sanitization method depends on the media type, data sensitivity and customer requirements.

ElectroCycle provides secure pickup and facility-based shredding. Mobile on-site hard-drive destruction is also available for qualifying service requests. Serial-number documentation can be arranged when requested before scheduling, and an electronic Certificate of Destruction is issued after completed service.

Our hard drive destruction process is NAID AAA Certified and designed to support customers with privacy, record-retention and vendor due-diligence requirements.

Documented, Secure and Responsible

Controlled Handling

Hard drives are kept in secure, locked containers while they are under ElectroCycle’s control.

Accountable Destruction

Serial-number documentation is available when arranged in advance, and a Certificate of Destruction records service completion.

Material Recycling

After destruction, shredded hard-drive material is directed into recycling instead of being discarded as intact data-bearing equipment.
