ELECTROCYCLE WAS FOUNDED IN 2011
We are a local, family run business.
Since 2011, ElectroCycle has been a family-owned, Detroit-based company. President Nicholas Wehrmeister runs the company along with his wife and sister. The Wehrmeister family lives in Farmington, MI and the company now services cities throughout Michigan.
ElectroCycle History
Owner and operator Nicholas Wehrmeister started the company in 2011, recycling computer equipment out of his garage. Electronic recycling pickups were done in his family SUV. Before long, he quickly outgrew the SUV and the garage. He purchased a 16 ft box truck for recycling pickups. Then moved into an 800 sq ft warehouse. Today, ElectroCycle has a fleet of 4 vehicles and 6500 sq ft of warehouse space.

Growth in the Shredding Industry
ElectroCycle has rapidly expanded their shredding operations. They now employ 9 staff. The fleet of shred trucks has also grown. In addition to a box truck for recycling pick-ups, they now have 4 mobile shred trucks for on-site shredding throughout Michigan. This way, customers can see their documents being destroyed before the truck leaves your premises.

Their NAID AAA rating is the highest level of security in the industry. This means ElectroCycle follows strict guidelines for document destruction, which includes hiring practices and staff training. They are even subject to unannounced audits from the National Association of Information Destruction. ElectroCycle provides the top level of customer experience while safeguarding your most important asset – your information.
